Lionesses actively eating a zebra kill in Moremi.
Lion cubs are photogenic because very active and interacting together or with adults.
In Moremi, we met a pride of 3 lionesses and 3 cubs that were really funny to watch while playing.
This Lion was a Christmas present while he crossed our camp on the 25th of December morning. We were warned by our Safari leader in the middle of our breakfast around the campfire. He urged to jump into the car. At this time we didn't know exactly what was going on. I still don't know if it was for our own savety (we were in a mobile camp without any fence) or simply to have the first great spot of the day.
Doesn't it seem cute and innocent ?
The record of our contacts with cats during one week in Moremi shows impressive figures :
Lions : 10 contacts with 24 different lions
Leopard : 3 contacts
Cheetah : 3 contacts
Wild cat : 2 contacts
